Current Obsession:| Peplum

Peplum seems to be a thriving Spring 2012 trend and I just looooove it! From peplum skirts to peplum dresses to peplum tops: can't get enough!! Every girl should have atleast one peplum piece in her closet!!

Belted Peplum Dress - Nude from NastyGal.com

The last one is my FAVOURITE!!!! Loves it!

What do you think of this trend that was characteristic of the 1940s??
Hmmm...might even try making a peplum piece during summer....if I do, I will post :D

Thanks for stopping by! Ttyl.

Guess what I got? :)

So I bought the Tropic Isle Strong Roots Red Pimento Hair Growth Oil today in Discount Beauty Supplies in King's Plaza in HWT :). Can't wait to try it and share my results!! I think I will use it as directed by the bottle this weekend when I am washing my hair...but I also plan to use this as a leave-in....excited, excited, excited! Will keep you posted on progress!!
I also snagged a hairbrush, comb and an exfoliating sponge for my face. That store has soooo many great products, especially for hair, and the prices are pretty reasonable. Resisting urge to be a product junkie *under breath- let's see how that goes* teehee. Ttyl!!

P.S. I know I said I would post pics of my hair today but when I got home, I realized my cam had no batteries and I was too exhausted to go back on the road...sigh :(

I'm back...FOR GOOD! Updates..

Hey there! I know I know, I haven't blogged in forever, I suck at blog maintenance haha. School has taken over my life (along with laziness). Since my last post, I have slacked up on my hair care regimen - BIG TIME. So, today April 1, I am recommitting myself to it and hopefully I stick to it - for the next three weeks at least, as I plan to put my hair in braids (Rope Twists)for 3 months because of anticipated exams (stress), as a means low manipulation protective styling and to stretch my relaxer! So, I washed my hair today (I'll post pics tomorrow) and I'm looking like a grandma in rollers :D (Btw, I am still on Ebony's Roller-setting Challenge!) Tomorrow, I'm going hunting for this bad boy right here:

Its the Tropic Isle Living Jamaican Strong Roots Red Pimento Hair Growth Oil with Black Castor Oil *deep breath, whew what a long name lol* Heard lots of rave reviews about it and I cant wait to try it. Hopefully I find it. Wish me luck!!

Also, I have started taking Sundown Naturals High Potency Biotin 5000mcg for my hair along with The Vitamin Shoppe Ginkgo Biloba Extract 120 mg to help me with my studies. So I will update on results/effects if anyone is interested.

I think that's it for now. I'll be updating regularly now, I promise! Ttyl and thanks for stopping by.

Hair update!

Man, am I a bad blogger or whattt? lol Since my last hair-related post, I have had about 3 wash days? I believe so. However, the last time I washed my hair was Tuesday. Normally I do my hair on Fridays, but the Christmas holidays have been throwing me off a good deal. But here is what I did!

- Pre-pooed with Mane n' Tail Conditioner (for about 3-5 minutes on wet hair)
- Shampooed with Organic Root Stimulator Creamy Aloe Shampoo
- Deep Conditioned with Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayo (15 minutes with plastic cap, rinse well)
- Conditioned with VO5 Herbal Escapes Balancing Conditioner
- Sprayed in some Aphogee Pro-Vitamin

I then wrapped my hair and tied a silk scarf around it and let it air-dry overnight. In the morning I oiled my scalp with tea tree oil. The results were pretty good if you ask me, my hair was soft but strong and pretty straight for drying without heat. Here are a few pics I managed to take before my cam died :(

So upon unwrapping my hair initially and before oiling scalp:

And the next day!
Sucky pics, I kno, hush! Shudda combed my hair for that last one too :S lol

Thanks for stopping by :)

6-Month Roller-setting Challenge!!

I was checking out my 'Reading List' when I saw this post by Ebony from Longing 4 Length...A roller-setting challenge!!! When I read on further, I decided I was definately in! She stated the benefits of roller-setting and encouraged us to set goals for this challenge... so mine are:

♥ To gain and retain length
♥ To increase thickness and body
♥ To decrease (if not completely stop!) breakage and shedding (I know, I know you can't prevent shedding lol)

The challenge lasts for six months and runs from January 1 to June 11, 2012.

I'm sooooooo excited to see results! Oh and be sure to check out Ebony's blog here, it has some verrrry useful information, especially for those that have just started their HHJ like meeeeeeeee =]
